Who Am I?

This is a big question, but I suspect if you’ve read this far, you want to know how my experiences could be of value to you.  So here’s my CV in a nut shell…. I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work in 1996 and my Master of Social Work in 2009.  My professional experience has predominately serviced parents, children and youth experiencing a wide range of challenges—including trauma, mental health, safety concerns, and developmental disabilities—just to name a few.  Each individual I have worked worth has a unique experience and expertise, so each moment of my professional journey has offered me new insights, hope, and amazement in resiliency.

Personally, I’m a wife of 25 years, a mom of three, and fur mom of two.  Faith has always been a central theme in my life.  I have a deep love of learning, creating, and laughing.  I haven’t figured “it” all out but am enjoying being curious along the way and learning to enjoy the ride.

What does this look like?

“Fit” can often be a concern when seeking a therapist.  Research tells us that the therapeutic relationship is the single greatest predictor for positive outcomes within counselling.  Having the opportunity to “interview” your counsellor can support this.  I welcome the opportunity for you to connect with me to ask a few questions prior to us committing to a therapy session.

Counselling sessions are an hour each.  Some individuals need one session and they are good to go.  Others are seeking multiple.  These can be once a week, bimonthly, monthly, or whenever you feel you need a little extra support. Currently I am offering sessions evenings and weekends.

Session fees are $120 each.  There is no HST.

My job is to meet you where you are, you are the expert of your life, my role is to give you some extra tools you may not have heard of to rock it.

We can meet online over various mediums or we can meet in person (with COVID precautions in place). It really is all about what you are comfortable with and how you feel you will connect best.
